Numerical Study on Behaviors of the Sloshing Liquid Oxygen Tanks

In marine storage and transportation, the sloshing of liquid oxygen disturbs thermodynamic equilibrium induces stress on tank walls. Numerous problems are associated with mechanism demand a detailed investigation. this study, numerical model is developed by coupling Eulerian framework algebraic interface area density (AIAD) method while considering interphase drag force to investigate thermal behavior oxygen. The effect frequency evaporation performance studied. Moreover, anti-sloshing conducted employing T-shaped baffle. results show that induced vapor explosion phenomenon due invalidation surface impedance destratification enhance free convection, resulting in rapid depressurization increased loss. addition, maximum loss occurred under vapor–liquid excitation condition. baffle has an excellent because generating tip vortices enhanced shearing walls, which regarded as motion damping factors.
